About The Position

The Marketing Specialist keeps the marketing engine running day-to-day, turning strategic priorities into scheduled, assigned, and tracked action. This role reports directly to the Director of Marketing and works closely with the Design Manager, Graphic Designers, and Social Media & Influencer Specialist to keep campaigns, content, and shoots moving on schedule and error-free.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing coordination, production/traffic management, project support, or a similar tactical execution role
  • Excellent organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines and moving pieces at once
  • Sharp eye for detail, with strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Experience coordinating logistics such as locations, schedules, vendors, or talent
  • Clear, proactive communicator who follows up without being asked

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in outdoor, lifestyle, or consumer product brands
  • Familiarity with project or task management tools (Asana, Monday, ClickUp, or similar)
  • Experience on set for photo or video production

Responsibilities

  • Turn marketing initiatives and priorities into actionable tasks, assigning owners, and due dates on the marketing calendar
  • Maintain day-to-day accuracy of the marketing calendar: creating and assigning tasks, adjusting due dates as priorities shift, and communicating changes to affected team members
  • Track down information, assets, or approvals designers need to complete assigned work
  • Flag scheduling conflicts or at-risk deadlines before they become problems
  • Proof marketing materials such as email, SMS, paid media, design work, and web content, for spelling, grammar, consistency, and factual accuracy before final approval
  • Check all links across email, SMS, paid media, and digital assets to confirm they're correct and functional before work goes live
  • Maintain a consistent proofing process to catch recurring error types before they ship
  • Work directly with the Director of Marketing and Social Media Specialist to coordinate shoot logistics such as location, date, and time
  • Secure talent and photographers/videographers, whether sourcing through the existing network or sourcing new talent as needed
  • Take shot lists and product lists to check and prepare physical inventory to ensure the needed product is available, staged, and ready to go on shoot day
  • Attend shoots as needed to serve as an extra hand and represent product knowledge on set
  • Partner with the Design Manager and Graphic Designers to keep design tasks unblocked and moving on schedule
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of coordination across the marketing team
  • Serve as the go-to point of coordination with other teams across the business, like Sales, B2B, and Product, for tasks needed from marketing
