About The Position

ACCIONA is a global company focused on regenerative infrastructure. The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a significant infrastructure initiative in Georgia, a joint venture between Ferrovial Dragados and ACCIONA. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Maintenance Business Unit project to ensure contract requirements are met safely, dependably, cost-effectively, and aesthetically, under the direction of the Operations and Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or higher; with relevant work experience in Construction or Maintenance Experience highly sought-after
  • 7 years’ work experience in construction and/or road maintenance industry (preferred)
  • Prior experience in a leadership role (highly preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record (required)
  • DOT certifications (highly desired)
  • Flexibility and capacity to work under time pressure and constraints
  • Excellent oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills; leadership skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships with colleagues, advisors, contractors, etc. across office locations and time zones
  • High ethics and moral character; sound judgement
  • Honest and transparent
  • Self-Starter; strong motivation and ability to take initiative

Nice To Haves

  • CDL license preferred but no necessary

Responsibilities

  • Performs condition assessment of pavements, signs, guardrails, bridges, vegetation and other contract infrastructure and assets.
  • Schedules and coordinates work to be performed.
  • Assists with roadway characteristics inventory.
  • Assists the Operations and Maintenance Manager to determine the best approach (self-performance or sub-contract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timelines, and efficiency.
  • Plans and coordinates work plan schedules.
  • Inspects in-process and completed work to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Supervisory responsibility including the selection, development, and performance management of maintenance crews.
  • Facilitates all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training.
  • Requires being available outside of normal business hours as needed, and participating in an on-call rotation on nights, weekends and holidays as may be needed.
  • Always available to all incident emergencies and coordinate work of on-site responders.
  • Report accident/injury (actual and near misses).
  • Assists in the inspection of fleet.
  • Manage, monitor, and control highway project assets and materials.
  • Identifies opportunities for changes and improvements in work methods, processes, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Create and manage successful completion of all work orders.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion and entry of work reporting and timesheets for field crews.
  • Prepares other reports and correspondence as necessary.
  • Identifies, qualifies subcontractors, and assists in negotiating contract parameters with sub-contractors.
  • Assists and monitors routine work plan activities such as traffic control and maintenance work.
  • Other duties as assigned.
