Operations Analyst - Global Payment Operations Investigations
About The Position
At Bank of America, the Operations Analyst analyzes day-to-day issues, conducts research, and provides resolutions for issues identified within a business unit. The role supports established procedures, routine analytics, reporting, and exception processing, with a focus on wire processing and payment investigations. The analyst learns the wire transfer lifecycle, formats, products, and settlement flows; navigates multiple processing applications; and adapts to procedural, system, and operational changes. The role also supports implementation and monitoring of products, services, and operational solutions, provides guidance on changes, develops knowledge of business products, and works with partners and teammates. The position is first shift and is listed as 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience with wires or research and analysis in a production environment.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- Risk and resolve experience.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to prioritize effectively, adapt, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with payment investigation systems: Global Investigations-Payments/Wires, Cash Manager, QZ Task, or Cashpro FX.
- Experience implementing process improvements and automation.
- Understanding of Dodd Frank.
- Demonstrated leadership, including leading through change and process improvements to deliver results.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to internal production standards while executing procedures accurately.
- Learn and understand payment processing, including wire lifecycle and format, wire transfer products, and wire settlement flows.
- Navigate multiple processing applications to research and process exceptions.
- Adapt to and effectively execute procedural, system, and operational changes within wire processing functions.
- Assist with coordinating implementation of products, services, and operational solutions.
- Support the design, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of new products and services.
- Provide guidance regarding procedural, technical, and operational changes.
- Expand business product knowledge within the operations environment.
- Build relationships with partners and teammates.
- Inspect data to identify issues and trends.
- Collect and interpret data to validate operational processes.
