Operations Advisor - Chicago, IL
About The Position
Pizza Hut is seeking a field-focused Operations Advisor to improve four-wall restaurant operational excellence across assigned franchise organizations and restaurants in a defined market. The role focuses on in-restaurant processes, procedures, and execution fundamentals that support guest experiences and franchisee profitability. The Advisor works with franchisees, restaurant and above-restaurant leadership teams, and internal partners, and partners closely with the Franchise Operations Partner (FOP) on franchisee relationships and business priorities in a designated U.S. region. The position must be based in Chicago, Illinois and requires approximately 70% travel, primarily within the assigned market.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on operations experience in QSR, restaurant, retail, food and beverage, or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated experience operating restaurants and leading teams across multiple roles and levels, such as General Manager, Area Coach, Multi-Unit Leader, or Director, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of four-wall restaurant operations, including food execution, labor, service, cleanliness, safety, and shift-level accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and develop restaurant leaders through direct engagement and field presence.
- Strong root-cause problem-solving skills and ability to turn insights into practical, executable action plans.
- Ability to build credible relationships with franchisees and operations leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must live within the supported market to enable frequent restaurant presence and rapid response.
- Approximately 70% travel, primarily within the assigned market.
- Must be located in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities
- Partner with franchisees and restaurant leadership teams as a four-wall restaurant operations expert to improve execution, consistency, and performance.
- Coach restaurant leaders and above-restaurant teams on processes, procedures, and execution fundamentals to improve operational metrics.
- Provide hands-on, in-restaurant coaching focused on food quality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, safety, and team execution.
- Lead or support workshops, bootcamps, and in-restaurant training to build restaurant-level operational capability and accountability.
- Uphold Pizza Hut brand standards by identifying execution gaps, advising on corrective actions, and reinforcing proven operational practices.
- Conduct operational performance diagnostics to identify root causes of underperformance within restaurants.
- Develop actionable improvement plans with franchisees and restaurant leaders, and collaborate with the FOP on follow-up and sustained execution.
- Support new initiative rollouts by building franchisee buy-in, assisting with training, and providing on-the-ground implementation support.
- Build trusted relationships with restaurant managers, above-restaurant leaders, and franchise leadership to support best-practice sharing and continuous improvement.
- Deploy according to FOP business planning to support critical initiatives and underperforming restaurants with targeted operational support.
