Requirements

Completed an approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program or its equivalent.
Graduated from an accredited high school or successfully passing a high school equivalence test.
Minimum of six (6) years progressively responsible experience involving the construction, maintenance, and operations of distribution lines and related apparatus or metering.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree with supervisory experience.
Cooperative/Electric utility experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain current working knowledge of relevant trends and developments in utilities.
Coordinate field training opportunities.
Verify skill development.
Track certifications.
Review documentation.
Provide coaching to apprentices to help them advance toward becoming fully qualified Journey Lineworkers.
Conduct safety audits, field observations, and jobsite evaluations to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with Cooperative policies, OSHA regulations, NESC standards, and industry best practices.
Lead initiatives related to new equipment, tools, and technologies.
Collaborate across departments.
Manage operational training records and compliance requirements.
Support outage restoration efforts when needed.
