About The Position

Reporting to the manager, Operations support and Analytics, the specialist will leverage their effective problem-solving skills and their vast knowledge of the investment fund industry to directly improve the Client Experience. This position is accountable for delivering high-quality, accurate, and timely support to all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An ability push beyond "how things are done" to understand "why" and make recommendations for process improvements

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, interpret and present findings and solutions to leaders and other business partners
  • Good understanding of Canadian financial services industry and best practices

  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize to meet business objectives
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of the Canadian Investment Fund Operations Course, Canadian Securities Course or other industry courses completed within previous 3 years or willingness to complete course within 12 months of hiring date
  • Reporting tool experience preferable with SAP Business Objects or Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to internal and external business partners with operational inquiries regarding investment fund accounts, trades and processing requirements
  • Provide support for requests, often requiring investigation and timely follow up, ensuring resolution, and providing exceptional client service
  • Support investment fund reporting and compliance through reporting of findings of data analysis and report creation
  • Support the implementation of the new risk management processes and procedures while evaluating impact of the process change on the client experience and the team productivity
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SLGI policies and processes regarding investment fund (Mutual and Segregated) trading activities, Short-Term trading fees, sizeable investor holdings and a wide range of other areas
  • Support a variety of company program and ensure business policies and processes are being adhered to
