Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and prior experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
  • Understanding of industry procedures/protocols with Legal/Labor Relations, Regulatory, SSHE and Quality requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred degree disciplines: Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
  • Prior leadership experience through direct reports or managing a team of employees through project management
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Advanced VACC competencies as defined for Crop Science Product Supply
  • Advanced end-to-end understanding of seed processing plant operations

Responsibilities

  • Support squads in their needs to run daily production activities, enabling them to execute daily production schedule to deliver the best product and customer experience.
  • Be an escalation resource for troubleshooting and problem solving point for tasks and projects prioritization, problem solving, continuous improvement, conflict resolution - prioritizing the squads’ self-organization first.
  • Optimizes squad members performance and development through empowerment and DSO principles, displaying VACC behaviors, coaching, feedback, discipline.
  • Helps driving OnePSS practices across squads, acting as a champion.
  • Close connection with other operational coaches and E2E mission team member to ensure that the squad is receiving the support/resources they need.
  • Actively engaging in Tier 2 and Tier 3 meetings to challenge and promote productive discussions.
  • Gemba walks one or multiple times a week.
  • Supports squads to achieve appropriate staffing of shifts/areas, including absences coverages - prioritizing the squads’ self-organization first and being as escalation point when needed.
  • Inspire the development, exploration, and execution of creative ideas in rapid cycles (90 Days).
  • Helps employees develop capabilities and mindsets to thrive and foster inclusion and empowerment.
  • Helps to educate the team towards tracking financial performance on squad level.
  • Guides the team towards operational improvements, metrics tracking and implementation of best practices through team members and along with peers.
  • Represents and contributes on squad level involvement/engagement to cultivate trust in the community.
  • Drives improvement of QMS systems that enable delivery of quality products that meet/exceed stakeholder and customer quality expectations.
  • Focal point for Time & Attendance and other HROPs support.
