About The Position

Core One is seeking an Operational Risk Management Course (ORMC) Instructor to join our team. This role involves delivering operational risk management instruction to Special Operations Forces personnel, facilitating practical exercises, and evaluating student performance. The instructor will develop students' ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risk in complex environments through classroom instruction, mentorship, and assessments. Additionally, the instructor will support program improvement through curriculum development, lesson plan refinement, course evaluations, and instructor qualification efforts. Collaboration with government personnel and fellow instructors is key to ensuring course content remains relevant and aligned with Special Operations requirements.

Requirements

  • Completion of the New Instructor Candidate Program (NICP) or equivalent Government-approved instructor qualification program.
  • Graduate of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course (ASOTC).
  • Demonstrated Operational Risk Management Course (ORMC) management or facilitation skill set, including instructional delivery, grading, and student evaluation responsibilities.
  • Prior Counterintelligence (CI) experience in an operational or training environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) operational experience.
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver platform instruction as the Primary Instructor (PI) or Assistant Instructor in support of the approved ORMC Program of Instruction (POI).
  • Facilitate classroom instruction, guided discussions, practical exercises (PEs), and performance evaluations in accordance with approved course standards.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and evaluator during Government-led practical exercises and student assessments.
  • Grade student performance and testing events in accordance with the Individual Student Assessment Plan and established grading criteria.
  • Conduct student counseling sessions regarding academic performance, practical exercise execution, and course progression.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all ORMC instructional material, learning objectives, and practical exercise requirements.
  • Support Operational Risk Management instruction and subject matter expertise for related programs, including Advanced Special Operations Training Course (ASOTC) and Advanced Special Operations Techniques Managers Course (ASOTMC), as required.
  • Participate in course reviews, after-action reviews (AARs), curriculum updates, and professional development activities between training cycles.
