Operational Excellence (OpEx) Lead

ForesiteOverland Park, KS

About The Position

Foresite is looking for a dynamic, execution-focused Operational Excellence (OpEx) Lead to drive the optimization and scale of our internal company workflows. The ideal candidate is a hybrid professional: part Data Analyst (interpreting metrics to find bottlenecks), part Agile/Scrum Master (facilitating sprints and keeping internal teams aligned), and part Project Leader (owning initiatives from conception to delivery). In this role, you will design, manage, and execute high-impact internal projects that optimize company workflows, scale infrastructure, and drive cross-functional efficiency. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this role serves as the bridge between raw operational data and agile execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, business operations, or continuous improvement roles, ideally in a fast-paced or tech-forward environment.
  • Proven experience acting as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis.
  • Experience with tools like SQL, Excel/Sheets (advanced), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) to turn data into narratives.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile/Scrum).
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to lead matrixed, cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle of critical internal operations projects aimed at scaling business processes, reducing overhead, and improving internal tooling.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the VP of Operations, translating high-level operational goals into actionable, phased project roadmaps.
  • Manage stakeholder communication across departments (Product, Engineering, Finance, HR) to ensure alignment and remove roadblocks for internal initiatives.
  • Establish and champion Agile frameworks within the Operations division, serving as the Scrum Master for internal project teams.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to ensure predictable, continuous delivery of internal milestones.
  • Coach non-technical teams on Agile best practices to foster a culture of iterative improvement and speed-to-market.
  • Dig into internal data, KPIs, and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for automation.
  • Define, track, and report on project success metrics and operational baseline data to prove the ROI of OpEx initiatives to the leadership team.
  • Build dashboards and clean data visualizations to make internal operational performance transparent and actionable for stakeholders.
