Operating Room Specialty Technician - Full Time - Days
About The Position
The OR Specialty Technician provides support services to members of the operating room team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs peri-operative duties as required. The technician maintains proper care and storage of supplies, instruments, and equipment used for surgical patient care. The role also records and maintains required documentation for fluid warmers, autoclaves, and room temperature as directed by the OR Manager. The position is full-time, day shift, with hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on an 8-hour, five-day schedule. Methodist Dallas Medical Center is a 595-bed acute care teaching and referral hospital and the flagship hospital of Methodist Health System. It serves as home to an adult Level I Trauma Center and a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in southern Dallas, as well as the Linda and Mitch Hart Breast Center. Requirements
- High school diploma and/or GED equivalent.
