Finger Lakes Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to support safe, high-quality patient care at Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center (FLSC). The role requires travel between the two locations and may involve working at both in the same day. The schedule is four days per week with 9-hour shifts and one weekday off, typically the post-call day. Start times vary between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., depending on assignment. Call includes one weekday per week, Monday through Thursday, from the end of the scheduled shift until 7:00 a.m. the following morning, and one full weekend approximately every 5–6 weeks, from Friday evening through Monday at 7:00 a.m. When on call, the RN must be able to report to the hospital within 45 minutes. One designated flex shift each week may require the RN to remain beyond the scheduled shift to complete surgical procedures; the flex RN is not on call and is not required to return after leaving campus. Pay is based on experience as an RN. Finger Lakes Health describes the role as offering a four-day workweek, a collaborative perioperative team, opportunities for specialty certification and professional growth, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.
