About The Position

Finger Lakes Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care before, during, and after surgical procedures at Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center (FLSC). The role requires travel between the two locations, occasionally working at both on the same day. The schedule is four days per week, with 9-hour shifts and one weekday off, typically the post-call day. Start times vary from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., depending on assignment. The role includes one weekday call period per week, Monday through Thursday, from the end of the scheduled shift until 7:00 a.m. the next morning, plus one full weekend of call approximately every 5–6 weeks, from Friday evening through Monday at 7:00 a.m. Staff on call must be able to report to the hospital within 45 minutes. Operating Room RNs can expect one designated flex shift each week. On that shift, the RN may need to remain beyond the scheduled shift to complete surgical procedures. The flex RN is not on call and is not required to return to the hospital after leaving campus. Compensation is based on RN experience.
