About The Position

This internship, running from August 31st to December 18th, 2026, is based on-site in Mississauga, ON, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday. Students joining the Operability Group will gain familiarity with various aspects of engine operability, including starting, acceleration and deceleration (handling), transient simulation, aircraft interfaces, and electronic and hydromechanics control systems. The role is suitable for individuals who enjoy teamwork and can manage multiple analytical tasks with evolving requirements and priorities.

Requirements

• Be eligible to work in Canada
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
• Pursuing a degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Proficiency at handling several analytical tasks concurrently and working with quickly evolving requirements and priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to operate well in teams.

Nice To Haves

• Gas turbine knowledge and good understanding of aerodynamic principles
• MATLAB/Simulink, MSExcel (VBA macros), EnoviaV6/PLM

Responsibilities

• Contribute to engine sub-system definition like the controls system.
• Generate transient simulation corresponding to aircraft maneuvers.
• Establish test procedures to be performed on engine as well as supporting the tests themselves.
• Analyze the test results and compare to the simulation results and provide recommendations as applicable.
