•Onsite

About The Position

Space Dynamics Laboratory’s internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students professional-level assignments involving technologies in space-, airborne-, and ground-based systems, with support from engineers and mentors. Interns also participate in training workshops, networking opportunities, and summer activities. The Strategic Military Space Division is seeking an entry-level engineering intern to support the Battlestar program by validating Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) standards and interface control documents (ICDs). The intern will work with experienced engineers on a cloud-based enterprise ground system supporting dynamic space operations. The position is onsite in North Logan, Utah. The internship is for summer 2027, with onsite support beginning no later than June 7 and availability for up to 12 weeks. Interns receive a competitive hourly wage and work appropriate to their experience and project needs. Continued employment or transition to student/full-time employment may be possible and would require security clearance eligibility. Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in systems, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Entry-level applicants are welcome; relevant coursework or academic projects may satisfy technical experience requirements. Utah State University students are not eligible for SDL internship positions and are encouraged to explore SDL’s Student Employment opportunities.
