About The Position

Onboarded is inviting builders to express interest in opportunities across its team rather than applying for one defined position. The company builds an API and infrastructure for workflows that require accuracy and accountability, including worker identity, work authorization, background checks, tax forms, union agreements, and credentials. Its platform includes a worker, job, client, and employer ontology; forms written as code; maintained policies; and automations that respond to changes in facts. The platform has made more than six million workers eligible for work and is used under other brands by large HR technology platforms. Onboarded is expanding this infrastructure to support AI agents and workflows beyond onboarding. The company shapes roles around candidates’ strengths. Potential areas include building the core engine and APIs, developing AI-assisted configuration tools, implementing customer compliance workflows, growing distribution partnerships, defining the company’s public narrative, and creating developer tools and resources. Team members are expected to work closely with customers and contribute directly to production outcomes. Onboarded describes itself as a small, remote-first startup where employees work alongside the founders and can shape the company. Applicants should send a short introduction and a resume, LinkedIn profile, or GitHub profile to [email protected] with “Open Role” as the subject. They should describe what they would build, something they have built and are proud of, and how they use AI tools; a cover letter is not requested.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a bias toward building and shipping tangible work.
  • Care about accuracy and understand the consequences of compliance work for workers.
  • Take ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for tasks to be assigned.
  • Work closely with customers and the people using the product.
  • Communicate plainly and directly.
  • Be willing to work without a narrowly defined role, lengthy ramp-up, or large-company structure.

  • High learning velocity.
