About The Position

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine invites qualified applications for part-time pre-clinical and clinical per-diem faculty positions. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in dental specialty practice. Board certification and prior teaching experience are preferred. The duties for this faculty position include clinical and didactic teaching. The overall distribution of such activities and allocation of responsibilities is determined by each Department Chair based on department and School of Dental Medicine needs, along with other appropriate considerations. This description is a summary only and is describing the general level of work being performed, it is not intended to be all-inclusive. The duties of this position may change from time to time and/or based on department and School of Dental Medicine need. We reserve the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at the discretion of the supervisor and/or hiring authority.

Requirements

  • DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US Dental School or foreign equivalent
  • Eligible to be licensed in Colorado
  • Dependent upon the dental specialty, experience in treating complex dental cases, medically complex patients, and or patients requiring multidisciplinary care
  • Applicants must have a clinical, scholarly, and/or academic record consistent with each appointment level in the School of Dental Medicine

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a CODA approved Dental Specialty and/or General Practice Residency
  • Candidates who have a dental specialty should be dental specialty board eligible
  • Board certification and prior teaching experience are preferred
