About The Position

Malace|HR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Onsite Recruiter / HR Manager to support our fully outsourced workforce solutions. In this role, you will lead all recruiting operations for a 100% Malace|HR-employed workforce, while serving as the primary on-site representative of Malace|HR. This position requires a strong background in high-volume recruiting, employee relations, and union engagement. You will act as the key liaison between Malace|HR, the client leadership team, and the local union—ensuring a compliant, productive, and positive work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting and/or HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and managing union relationships
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume hiring initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with outsourced workforce models or staffing agencies
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and grievance processes
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle, high-volume recruitment efforts for hourly manufacturing roles
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet aggressive hiring targets
  • Partner with operations leadership to forecast workforce needs and maintain optimal staffing levels
  • Manage onboarding processes, including orientation and new hire integration
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for all onsite employees
  • Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve workplace issues
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Act as the primary liaison between Malace|HR and the local union
  • Administer and interpret the collective bargaining agreement (CBA)
  • Participate in grievance procedures, disciplinary meetings, and union discussions
  • Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with union representatives
  • Serve as the on-site face of Malace|HR to the client
  • Provide regular reporting on staffing metrics, turnover, and HR trends
  • Collaborate with client leadership to improve workforce performance and retention
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and labor agreements
  • Support performance management processes, including coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor attendance, turnover, and productivity trends and implement improvement strategies
