Onshape SysOps Intern (Summer 2027)
About The Position
PTC is hiring an Onshape SysOps Intern for its 10-week US Summer Internship Program in summer 2027. The intern will help improve the tooling and continuous deployment environment for the Onshape platform. Projects will contribute directly to deploying, monitoring, and improving the platform. The intern will join a team developing solutions for automated deployment, monitoring, and alerting. PTC describes interns as full-fledged team members who work on impactful projects and have many responsibilities similar to those of full-time systems engineers. This internship is intended for students enrolled in a degree program in engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field. The position pays an anticipated hourly rate of $32–$36, with actual pay depending on factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based immigration sponsorship.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a degree program in engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Comfort with investigating unfamiliar parts of a system and researching solutions.
- Experience working with Linux.
- Basic knowledge of Python.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship from PTC.
Responsibilities
- Develop code to improve Onshape deployment infrastructure.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify, design, and implement solutions.
- Participate in code reviews as both a reviewer and reviewee.
- Fix bugs in newly written code and existing code.
