About The Position

DeVry University seeks industry professionals to teach undergraduate and graduate students and share their professional knowledge and experience. Faculty facilitate student learning in accordance with University requirements, develop course syllabi and lesson plans, and apply teaching techniques to meet course and program objectives. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks, combining face-to-face interaction with technology such as online discussions and assignments. Instructors participate in comprehensive faculty training and ongoing development activities. DeVry does not guarantee a specific number of work hours or assignments; these may vary according to the University’s needs and discretion. The role includes preparing and updating course materials, communicating expectations and evaluation criteria, assessing student work fairly, and providing timely feedback. Faculty are expected to use appropriate course technologies and to integrate AI responsibly into teaching and learning, including recognizing and addressing appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools. Visiting Professor pay depends on level, credit hours taught per eight-week session, and location. In most states, pay may range from $1,500 to $2,700 per session. In Arizona, California, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, pay is either $22.00 or $23.50 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
