Online Math Teacher
About The Position
JadeClass Education Singapore is hiring energetic, confident, and adaptable teachers for its online math program. Teachers deliver small-group classes to students, with JadeClass providing students, online-teaching tools, structure, resources, training, and support. Classes have 6–8 students and meet weekly for 90 minutes on the ClassIn platform, using coursework and presentations developed by the in-house team. Teachers must commit to a fixed schedule of at least two classes per week, starting in July, and complete a series of classes without absences or rescheduling. The stated compensation is $100 USD per 90-minute new lesson and $75 USD per 90-minute repeated lesson. Payment is based on teaching time and does not include time spent reviewing materials or recording lesson previews. A preview video may be requested the first time a teacher teaches a lesson, with an additional $25 payment. Remuneration is paid monthly through Wise, between the 10th and 12th of the month. JadeClass Education Singapore provides enrichment education to bright students aged 6–16 who have a good command of English and plan to continue their education abroad. The school develops and delivers in-person and online classes in English and STEM, focusing on concrete skills that support students' learning.
Requirements
- Experience teaching elementary, middle-school, or high-school math, either online or in person.
- Ability to explain concepts clearly, simply, and logically.
- Ability to integrate a personal teaching style with JadeClass's established standards.
- Reliability, organization, and ability to prepare for and attend each scheduled lesson.
- Positive attitude, engaging personality, and talkative manner.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Fluency in English with clear pronunciation.
- Fast and stable internet connection of approximately 20 Mbps upload and download.
- Modern, reliable computer with a benchmark score of approximately 10,000 or higher on the cited CPU benchmark list.
- Commitment to a fixed schedule of at least two classes per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-energy online math classes for up to eight students.
- Review materials and record lesson-preparation materials as required to ensure quality.
- Complete a series of classes without absences or rescheduling.
- Prepare for and attend each scheduled lesson.
