About The Position

The Washington Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking a detail-oriented, creative, and enthusiastic online learning educator to join their Court Education team. This role will contribute to shaping the future of learning within Washington State’s court community by designing, developing, and delivering innovative education experiences for both internal and external partners. The educator will collaborate with the Court Education Services (CES) Manager and a team of educators, subject-matter experts, and education committees. Responsibilities include developing dynamic eLearning courses, demos, and educational resources to create engaging, accessible, and impactful learning environments. The position focuses on curriculum and instructional design, eLearning development, multimedia design, project management, and the deployment of online learning via a learning management system. It also supports court customers statewide. While not a supervisory role, it offers opportunities for creativity, problem-solving, and passion for meaningful learning in a mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate enjoys crafting high-quality online learning experiences, collaborating with diverse experts, and making a positive difference in how court professionals learn and grow.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field AND Three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience in the design and delivery of adult education.
OR Three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience in the Washington State courts, responsible for training court staff.
Must be willing to travel. This position may require periodic travel to support programs in various parts of the state for up to one week at a time.

Responsibilities

Works with subject matter experts to design educational content for eLearning delivery
Designs engaging role-specific instructional activities for online modalities
Builds eLearning courses and online programs using eLearning authoring software
Develops multimedia (e.g., graphics, videos, animations, interactive games, etc.)
Uploads, configures, and deploys online courses in AOC’s learning management system (LMS)
Evaluates effectiveness of deployed eLearning courses
Performs other duties as required.
