About The Position

Greater IMPACT Church is a Christ-centered, digital-first ministry seeking relational, welcoming, and ministry-minded Online Campus Hosts to bring warmth, pastoral care, and engaging fellowship to our digital campus. The Online Campus Host is the front door and heartbeat of our digital Sunday gatherings. This role involves creating a hospitable, spiritually uplifting, and interactive atmosphere for individuals and families tuning in from across the world. It is more than just typing in a chatbox; it is digital ministry and personal connection. You will welcome first-time visitors, foster discussion around the sermon, post Scripture references and interactive Moments, pray with guests in real time, and ensure our online sanctuary remains safe, encouraging, and Christ-honoring.

Requirements

• A warm, conversational communication style with the ability to convey genuine empathy, love, and enthusiasm through written text.
• A vibrant, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the beliefs and vision of Greater IMPACT Church.
• Reliable availability on Sunday mornings between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM EST.
• Reliable laptop or desktop computer, stable high-speed internet connection, and familiarity with web browsers, chat interfaces, and Google Workspace / Slack.
• Integrity and discernment when handling sensitive prayer requests and private guest conversations.

Responsibilities

• Log into the Online Worship Center 30 minutes prior to service time (9:30 AM EST) to warmly greet guests as they enter the lobby and chat room.
• Spark conversations, ask engaging questions prompted by the pastor's message, acknowledge comments, and celebrate prayer answered or life steps shared in the room.
• Post timely service Moments (Connection Cards, giving prompts, salvation invitations, and sermon notes) and quote Bible verses in rhythm with the preaching.
• Respond with empathy to prayer requests submitted in the public chat and invite guests into private 1-on-1 prayer rooms for personalized spiritual support and encouragement.
• Maintain a safe, wholesome, and distraction-free environment by upholding community guidelines, muting disruptive participants, and removing inappropriate content with pastoral gentleness.
• Participate in brief pre-service prayer huddles with fellow hosts and team leaders via Google Meet / Slack.
