OneStream Solutions Consultant
About The Position
A OneStream Solutions Consultant serves as the bridge between Finance and IT, leading the design, configuration, integration, and support of OneStream solutions. The role combines expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Consolidation, and Reporting with technical knowledge of OneStream architecture, integrations, data management, and automation. The consultant gathers business requirements and designs and configures financial consolidation, planning and budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow reporting solutions. The role also configures OneStream workflows and business rules, develops and supports data management processes, data quality and transformation rules, Cube Views, dashboards, and XF Business Rules, and maintains integrations with SAP systems and other data sources. The position supports month-end close and reporting, troubleshoots performance and data issues, supports security and governance, and provides user training and business process guidance. Project work includes solution workshops, leading SIT, UAT, and deployment activities, coordinating with Finance, SAP, Infrastructure, and vendor teams, and supporting post-production stabilization.
Requirements
- OneStream experience and knowledge of OneStream platform administration.
- Knowledge of Data Management and workflow configuration.
- Cube View and dashboard development skills.
- Experience with business rules using VB.NET.
- Security configuration skills.
- Knowledge of reporting and drill-back capabilities.
- Finance expertise, including financial consolidation, FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, actuals reporting, management reporting, intercompany accounting, and cash flow reporting.
- SQL and VB.NET skills.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, OData services, and data integration.
- Knowledge of Azure or cloud platforms.
- SAP integration experience.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years in EPM/CPM solutions.
- 2+ years of hands-on OneStream experience.
- Experience integrating OneStream with SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in utility, energy, manufacturing, or large enterprise environments.
- OneStream certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements from Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Reporting teams.
- Design and configure financial consolidation, planning and budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash flow reporting solutions.
- Assist with metadata maintenance.
- Support month-end close and financial reporting processes.
- Provide user training and business process guidance.
- Configure OneStream application workflows and business rules.
- Develop and support Data Management processes, Data Quality rules, transformation rules, Cube Views, dashboards, and XF Business Rules.
- Maintain integrations with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, data warehouses, flat files, and APIs/OData services.
- Troubleshoot performance and data issues.
- Support security roles and governance.
- Participate in solution development workshops.
- Lead SIT, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate with Finance, SAP, Infrastructure, and vendor teams.
- Support post-production stabilization.
