Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, from an accredited College or University (social services, counseling, business) required.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience including experience with the targeted population.
  • Must have an appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Regional travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all partners are working together to meet or exceed contractual performance goals within the guidelines of the operating budget and program deliverables establishing partnerships with community outreach service agencies to assist where necessary to fulfill delivery of contract compliance.
  • Assist in responding to RFP’s and grant opportunities to grow business in the region.
  • Assist with the following: establishing partnerships with other community service-related agencies, creating and maintaining agreements (MOUs & MOAs), negotiating contracts, development of the program budgets and managing programs within budget, and establishing policies and procedures for center operations, safety and crisis response management.
  • Interpret federal legislation, state guidance, and communiqués for appropriate implementation to ensure quality services.
  • Ensure that center staff are deployed appropriately, and that staffing ratios comply with service needs for a positive customer experience in the One Stop Center.
