About The Position
Visiting Angels is seeking dependable and compassionate Caregivers to provide companionship and hands-on assistance to clients in their homes. Caregivers assist with personal care and activities of daily living, meals, household tasks, medication reminders, errands, and transportation. The role also requires documenting visits using a smartphone. Day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts are available.
Requirements
- Professional or personal caregiving experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional demeanor.
- Genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Active automobile insurance required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfort using a smartphone for clock-in/out and documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care.
- CNA/LNA certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide companionship and conversation.
- Prepare meals and assist clients with meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Shop for groceries and run errands.
- Transport clients to appointments.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Document visits using a smartphone.
