About The Position
Visiting Angels is seeking reliable and compassionate Caregivers to provide personalized, one-on-one care to seniors and adults with disabilities in their own homes. The role involves providing needed assistance while building meaningful relationships with clients. Available shifts include day, evening, weekend, and overnight. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Enjoy helping others.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Active automobile insurance.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for clock-in/out and documentation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Professional or personal caregiving experience with seniors or adults with disabilities preferred.
- CNA/LNA certification is a plus.
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one companionship.
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Prepare meals.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Run errands and shop for groceries.
- Transport clients to appointments.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
- Use a smartphone for electronic documentation and clocking in and out.
