About The Position
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves providing direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting, administering various treatments, and educating patients and families. Requirements
- Current and valid state RN
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care
