About The Position

MindLink Resources LLC is seeking a skilled On Site Simultaneous Interpreter – Spanish for the Portland Metro Area. The role bridges language barriers in real time and ensures clear, accurate communication. The interpreter works in professional settings such as meetings, hearings, medical appointments, and legal proceedings, and may travel to on-site locations in the Portland/Vancouver area. MindLink Resources LLC is a language services provider delivering interpretation across a range of industries and settings, with a supportive environment for interpreters.

Requirements

Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation in professional or specialized settings.
Strong active listening, memory retention, and multitasking skills.
Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality and neutrality.
Ability to travel to various on-site locations in and around the Portland/Vancouver area.
Experience using interpreting headsets.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of industry-specific terminology, particularly medical, legal, or business terminology.
Certification from a recognized interpreting organization, such as ATA, CCHI, or RID.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time simultaneous interpretation between English and Spanish in on-site settings.
Accurately convey tone, intent, and meaning while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
Support communication in professional environments such as meetings, hearings, medical appointments, or legal proceedings.
Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, subject matter, and materials in advance.
Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter ethics and standards.
Collaborate with clients and staff to ensure smooth and effective communication flow.
Document and report interpretation challenges or concerns as needed.
