On-Site Service Representative (Part-Time 30) Pocatello, ID
About The Position
Grainger is hiring a part-time On-Site Service Representative for a route serving customers in Pocatello, Idaho. This role supports assigned customers by managing inventory, providing customer service, and driving account growth through the KeepStock inventory management program. The representative works with sales partners to implement sales strategies and help customers understand how Grainger can address their maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) needs. The position is 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., and reports to a Supervisor or Manager of Onsite Services.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in a selling or service environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 25 to 60 pounds and/or work in difficult positions.
- Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle different technical and operational issues.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Must carry required levels of automobile insurance.
Responsibilities
- Service multiple customer locations.
- Receive and stock purchased products at designated customer locations, and scan inventory as it is depleted to maintain appropriate stocking levels and support ordering.
- Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
- Follow the designated route using routing software tools and maintain route guides.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, processes, and cycle time.
- Comply with safety and inspection requirements at each customer facility.
- Engage customers to identify additional product needs and help create new orders.
- Probe for customer needs during each site visit and work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.
