About The Position

Barker Management Inc. is seeking an On-Site Maintenance person for the Santa Rosa Garden property in Santa Rosa, CA. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $27.00 - $27.35 per hour. The role involves performing basic maintenance repairs, including preparation and painting of units, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. The Maintenance Person is responsible for coordinating maintenance work schedules and performing assigned duties during a forty-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position requires daily walks of the grounds to note the condition of the development. The company is an equal-opportunity employer.

Requirements

Familiarity with basic maintenance repairs including proper preparation and painting of units; electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
Ability to coordinate maintenance work schedules.
Perform assigned duties for the development during a forty (40) hour workweek.
Walk to the grounds twice a day, once early in the morning and again in the late afternoon.
Complete service requests within a 24-hour period unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Maintain a written inventory of all supplies and maintenance equipment, updated on a weekly basis.
Keep a list of reserves for replacement items.
Submit daily maintenance logs to the manager every Friday.
Replace glass, lights, and screens.
Perform stucco repairs.
Assist with move-in and move-out inspections.
See that the laundry room is cleaned daily, including trash removal, washing the machines, sweeping the floors, and washing the windows.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working at a residential property with 20+ units is preferred.

Responsibilities

Completion of service requests within a 24-hour period unless extenuating circumstances apply.
Interior painting of units.
Maintenance repair to buildings.
Exterior cleaning of trash bin areas, stairwell areas, grounds, and parking lot.
Knowledge of water and gas meter shut-off procedures in all apartments and cleaning out sewers.
Assisting with move-in and move-out inspections.
Maintaining a written inventory of all supplies and maintenance equipment, updated weekly, and keeping a list of reserves for replacement items.
Submitting daily maintenance logs to the manager every Friday.
Upkeep of exterior including replacing glass, lights, screens, and stucco repairs.
Preparing vacated units for re-rental, including painting, cleaning appliances, carpet, floors, bathrooms, and performing maintenance repairs.
Performing monthly unit inspections.
Ensuring laundry rooms are cleaned daily, including trash removal, washing machines, sweeping floors, and washing windows.
Other duties as assigned.
Reading and understanding Barker Management's manual regarding maintenance procedures and policies.
