About The Position

Drives bus, van, car, or lightweight truck to transport guests, trainees, or company personnel along with product pick-up and delivery. Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Resort and Casino Policies and Procedures. Works as a team with other associates to maintain the best service standards available. Complies with hotel safety and Loss Control Procedures and has knowledge of all hotel emergency procedures. Maintains four star/four diamond service standards. Drives vehicle to and from private or central loading areas to and from Northern Quest Resort and Casino or other destinations according to assigned schedule. Transports guests and or team members to and from the airport or other locations as assigned. Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle, also assists with guest luggage etc. Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchair during trip. Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service. Monitors the vehicles’ fuel, lubricants, and accessories. Keeps records of trips and behaviors of passengers. Fulfills any reasonable work requested by a Manager or Supervisor. Provides exceptional service to customers and employees when performing job duties and conducts oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Northern Quest’s high standard of excellence. Uses proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees. Shares information with other departments to facilitate their successful performance. Ensures guest confidentiality standards are followed. Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record. Ensures control/protection of company assets. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.
  • Valid State Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating guest or tribal vehicles).
  • Ability to obtain FBI Identity History Summary yearly.
  • Ability to obtain Washington State Patrol criminal history report yearly.
  • Provide a Driver Abstract yearly.
  • Ability to meet the minimum standards of the Ground Transportation Operating Agreement with Northern Quest Resort and Casino and The Spokane International Airport as a Courtesy Vehicle Operator.
  • Must be able to be insured by the company insurance carrier.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A/B with Passenger Endorsement. (Must be in possession while operating an NQRC/Kalispel Tribal Vehicle).
  • Must be able to drive both an automatic and manual vehicle.
  • Knowledge of Spokane and vicinity roadways.
  • No moving violations or accidents on driving record.
  • Hepatitis A & B vaccination required.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure situations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees.
