About The Position

Nourse Chillicothe Automall is seeking reliable, temporary On-Call Vehicle Drivers to join their team during the busy season for used vehicle sales. The primary responsibility of this role is to transport company vehicles to and from various automotive auctions and/or dealerships. This position is ideal for retirees, college students 18 years or older, or parents with school-aged children.

Requirements

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be insurable by the corporate insurance underwriter.
• Possess a valid, insurable Driver's License.
• Must have a flexible schedule (able to work late hours if needed, and possible 12-hour shifts).
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
• Operate all vehicles safely and in compliance with company policies, traffic laws, and regulations.
• Observe rules of the road and demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving techniques.
• Possess vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with dealership personnel and follow directions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from manager regarding pickup and delivery of vehicles.
• Receive daily objectives, typically announced one day in advance.
• Be available to drive 3 or more days per week (Monday-Friday).
• Not work more than 32 hours per payroll week (Wednesday-Tuesday).
• Work at least one Friday per month.
• Complete a physical examination twice per year, deeming them fit-to-drive.
• Provide two or more weeks' notice for any planned vacation time off.
