On-Call RN (7 on, 7 off)
About The Position
St. Croix Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse On-Call to provide skilled, responsive care as part of its 24/7 care model. The RN supports patients and families during evenings, nights, and weekends by addressing urgent needs, completing after-hours admissions, and offering guidance during critical moments. The position follows a seven-days-on, seven-days-off overnight schedule and offers autonomy in providing meaningful patient care. The RN responds to triage calls and makes after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates. The role also includes developing and adjusting individualized care plans, administering prescribed medications and treatments, educating and supporting patients and caregivers, and maintaining timely, accurate clinical documentation. The position is based in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, and requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree is accepted.
- At least one year of recent acute care experience.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance.
