About The Position

The on-call laborer is responsible for general labor duties as directed by the individual supervising their tasks or assignments. Please Note: We may not be actively recruiting applicants for this position at this time. Applications will be reviewed when there is a need for this position.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, and to fill in as needed, sometimes on short-notice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• A valid Alaska Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving materials, office furniture and items from/to storage area and work sites
• Assist with sorting and placing materials or items as directed
• Assist with inventory count and in all areas of production as needed
• Assist with set-up or tear-down of materials, display cases, equipment as needed
• Keep workspace tidy and clear of all clutter, to include cords
• Sweeping, dusting, mopping and other janitorial duties as directed by supervisor, organizing storage areas.
• May use power tools and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Ahtna’s safety policy
• Perform other duties as assigned
