On-Call Child Care Sitter
About The Position
Jovie of Boise is hiring reliable, professional On-Call Child Care Sitters to provide safe, high-quality in-home care for local families. This role requires attentiveness, nurturing care, and the ability to engage with children of all ages. Sitters will supervise play, assist with meals and routines, and communicate professionally with families and Jovie staff. Prompt completion of caregiver reports and timesheets, along with adherence to all safety policies, is expected. The schedule is on-call with variable hours, with preferred availability between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional availability for after-school hours, evenings, and weekends is required, as assignments may be same-day or scheduled in advance. Hours are not guaranteed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year child care experience
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain within 60 days
- Must own a reliable vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
- Smartphone with reliable cellular/Wi-Fi access
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children
- Employment contingent on successful background check
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required
- Local travel to client homes required
- Must monitor scheduling app between 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
