Requirements

  • 1+ years bartending or cocktail serving experience in a high‑volume bar, restaurant, hotel, or banquet setting
  • Experience handling cash and operating a POS system in a hospitality environment
  • Prior experience serving alcoholic beverages in a regulated environment required
  • Must meet legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Strong guest service skills with a friendly, confident, and professional bar presence
  • Solid knowledge of basic spirits, beer, wine, and common cocktails
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and portion control
  • Organized with a great eye for detail in bar setup, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Comfortable handling cash and processing transactions accurately
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with guests, planners, and teammates
  • Committed to Safety First and to high standards of cleaning and sanitizing
  • Able to stay calm, flexible, and solution focused in a fast paced, high volume event environment
  • Ability to communicate with Banquet leadership via Microsoft Teams regarding shift availability and scheduling.
  • Willing and able to work a variable, on‑call schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Team oriented, positive, and willing to step in and help wherever needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve guests in a welcoming, timely, and efficient manner during banquets and events
  • Set up portable or fixed bars according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including product, glassware, equipment, and garnishes
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, spirits, and basic to moderately complex cocktails using standardized recipes and portion controls
  • Monitor guest consumption and follow all federal, state, and company policies for responsible alcohol service
  • Handle cash, credit card, and room charge transactions accurately and in line with property procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked bar throughout events, including wiping surfaces, polishing glassware, and restocking product
  • Work closely with Banquet Captains, Banquet Servers, and Culinary to coordinate timing of bar service with event flow
  • Break down bars at the end of events, returning product, glassware, and equipment to designated storage areas and completing closing paperwork as required
  • Maintain knowledge of the bar menu, event packages, and available beer, wine, and spirits
  • Provide recommendations and answer guest questions about beverages in a friendly, informed way
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of glass, ice, and cleaning chemicals
  • Support setup and teardown of banquet rooms, buffets, and other F&B functions as needed
  • Be available for on‑call shifts based on event demand, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Offer assistance to teammates where needed and act as a utility player across banquet operations
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Banquet Captain
