About The Position

Cox Media Group Miami Radio is hiring a part-time On-Air Host for WFLC Hits 97.3 and WFEZ Easy 93.1. The role calls for a host who can create a compelling show and connect with people on air, in person, and on social media. The candidate should be a strong storyteller, understand forward momentum in a PPM environment, stay immersed in pop culture, and use social media and video effectively. They must work within format parameters to support ratings and revenue goals and relate to the Miami, Florida lifestyle. Applicants should include an Air Check Package with their application.

Requirements

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• At least one year of on-air experience.
• Strong on-air presence and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of success in ratings and revenue.
• Experience operating on-air and production equipment.
• Experience with audio software editing products such as Adobe Audition.
• Computer skills for audio delivery and automation systems such as Wide Orbit, word processing, audio editing, and web and social media.
• Availability as needed, including nights and weekends when required.
• Social media savvy and able to deliver an engaging, PPM-friendly radio show for Miami, Florida.

Nice To Haves

• TOP 40 or AC radio format experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare show content, including format-related, lifestyle and culture, and local content.
• Write and post web and social media content.
• Write and deliver commercial or personal endorsement content.
• Host regular air shifts as assigned.
• Work with the program director to develop relatable content, execute the format, and meet ratings goals.
• Operate the control board, including editing phone bits, interviews, and other audio.
• Participate in remotes and appearances at station or life group functions as assigned.
• Work with sales and promotions to maximize revenue opportunities, including promotions and personal endorsements.
