OMICS Laboratory Intern

Revvity•Duluth, MN
•$18 - $21•Onsite

About The Position

Revvity is seeking a highly motivated part-time OMICS Laboratory Intern with a strong interest in clinical genetics and genomics. The internship is designed for individuals pursuing or planning to pursue ABMGG Laboratory Genetics & Genomics (LGG) fellowship training. It provides hands-on experience in clinical molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, and genomic technologies while building competencies aligned with ABMGG-accredited training program requirements. Interns participate in laboratory projects, gain exposure to regulatory and quality frameworks, and develop technical and analytical skills relevant to a career in clinical genetics. The intern will learn about bioinformatics tools for variant calling, annotation, and filtering; observe and assist with variant interpretation using ACMG/AMP guidelines; research literature and databases; and shadow senior staff in preparing clinical laboratory reports. The position also supports assay validation, OMICS research, assay optimization, technology evaluation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Mentorship and career discussions related to ABMGG fellowship pathways are provided. The position is located in Duluth, Georgia, with the possibility of some travel to a clinical laboratory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, handling laboratory equipment, and working with biological specimens and chemical reagents. The intern must follow biosafety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and complete laboratory safety training. The part-time base salary range is $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Benefits may vary by eligibility; part-time roles may not qualify for all listed benefits.
