About The Position

Revvity is seeking a highly motivated part-time OMICS Laboratory Intern with a strong interest in clinical genetics and genomics. The internship is designed for individuals pursuing or planning to pursue ABMGG Laboratory Genetics & Genomics (LGG) fellowship training. It offers hands-on experience in clinical molecular diagnostics, cytogenetics, and genomic technologies, while developing competencies aligned with ABMGG-accredited training program requirements. Interns participate in laboratory projects, gain exposure to regulatory and quality frameworks, and build technical and analytical skills relevant to a career in clinical genetics. The intern will learn about bioinformatics tools for variant analysis, observe and assist with variant interpretation, research literature and databases, and shadow senior staff preparing clinical laboratory reports. The role also includes contributing to assay and workflow validation, participating in OMICS research, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Mentorship from ABMGG-certified laboratory directors and senior geneticists includes career discussions about fellowship pathways, applications, and professional development. The position is located in Duluth, Georgia, with the possibility of some travel to a clinical laboratory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, handling laboratory equipment, and working with biological specimens and chemical reagents. The intern must follow biosafety protocols, use personal protective equipment, and complete laboratory safety training. The stated base salary range is $18.00–$21.00 per hour. Benefits are dependent on eligibility; part-time and temporary roles may not qualify for all listed benefits.
