About The Position

The OMHC Clinical Supervisor is a supervising clinician, who assists the OMHC Program Director in efforts to manage the company’s therapist workforce and support the expansion and success of the therapy program through collaboration with other programs. This individual will ensure that assigned therapists are upholding all governmental and accreditation procedures in documentation and client care, as well as assist with program policies, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years treating clients using evidence based practices while complying with all confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Minimum of five years diagnosing and assessing clients using standardized assessment tools like SNAP, PHQ-9, GAD7 Questionnaire, and PTSD Checklist.
  • Minimum of three years experience performing direct crisis intervention with clients, and ability to coach other clinicians in responding to mental health crises and emergencies.
  • Minimum of two years leading clinical and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Minimum of two years directing daily operations and client care, ensuring compliance with Accreditation Bodies standards of practice and COMAR regulations, for Community-Based Outpatient Mental Health.
  • Minimum of a year experience interviewing, hiring, and training other staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in science, social work, professional counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor, a Social Worker Professional, or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with a diverse and/or underserved population in the field of mental health.
  • Minimum of one year of experience conducting clinical supervision and signing off on documentation for other clinicians.
  • Required to hold an unexpired license to practice therapy and supervise other professionals in the state of Maryland as an LCSW-C or LCPC.
  • Credentialed as an in-network provider for Medicaid, Medicare, and most Commercial Insurances, or ability to be credentialed within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload of clients (all standard clinician roles/responsibilities apply) with expectations of client sessions per week to be determined upon hire and routinely reviewed based on agency's clinical needs and metrics.
  • Supervise clinicians (general clinical oversight per CARF), providing support and guidance on operational and clinical issues based on agency needs.
  • Review pay period/caseload reports during supervision and address any concerns (i.e.volume, no-show rates, compliance, documentation), such as: Intakes/Assessment upon admission. Treatment Plan (initial and ongoing), in accordance with COMAR regulations. Group and one-on-one notes completed within 24-48 hours. Referrals for various additional services. Discharge Summaries as needed.
  • Review treatment plans, transition plans, and PRP referrals, and sign off on therapist and interns documentation as needed.
  • Reports to OMHC Director with any feedback, challenges, or concerns received from clinical team
  • Collaborate with PRP, MED, and SUD programs to ensure agency clientele are receiving quality wraparound services.
  • Provide feedback, including assisting with Annual Performance reviews.
  • Organize and facilitate Group Supervisions.
  • Respond to Critical Incident Reports.
  • Provide input on company EMR, maximizing form efficiency.
  • Provide Clinical Training for Maryland Wellness staff on specific and relevant topics.
  • Assist with client retention and reengagement efforts.
  • Participate in orientation, onboarding, and training of new hires.
  • Complete audits of client charts periodically
  • Assist with CARF planning and ongoing compliance, including Quality Record Reviews for clinicians.
