About The Position

Infracon Construction's North Division, based in Dawson Creek, BC, is seeking hardworking and reliable Oil & Gas Labourers to join our team and support project activities near Dawson Creek, BC. We are looking for individuals who are team-oriented, safety-conscious, and ready to take on hands-on work in the field. Requirements

  • Safety is our most important core value. The successful candidate(s) must follow all Health, Safety, and Environment Program requirements by actively participating in safety meetings, hazard assessments (JHA, FLHA, etc.), and ensuring compliance with all site safety regulations.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license preferred.
  • Valid or willingness to obtain the following oilfield safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Must be willing to work in camp settings when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous labouring or construction experience is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

  • General labouring duties to support oil and gas site activities.
  • Site preparation, maintenance, and clean-up to keep work areas safe and organized.
  • Fencing installation (barbed wire, chain link, wildlife protection, etc.).
  • Assisting with lease builds, maintenance, and clean-ups.
  • Supporting equipment operators by spotting and providing assistance as needed.
  • Handling materials and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Digging and trenching for underground utility installations.
  • Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
  • Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Mixing and pouring concrete for construction tasks when required.
  • Assisting in minor repairs and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Ensuring worksite cleanliness and organization to prevent hazards.
  • Providing traffic control assistance when required.
  • Handling and managing hazardous materials safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Assisting with pipe laying and installation as needed.
  • Performing routine equipment checks and basic maintenance on tools and machinery.
  • Working in confined spaces when required, following all safety protocols.
  • Work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Assist with general site duties, including lifting, shoveling, and material handling.
  • Follow directions from supervisors and equipment operators.
  • Identify and report potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Adapt to changing work conditions and project needs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating needs and proactively addressing worksite challenges.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure compliance with all procedures.
