About The Position

This technology facilitates real-time decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency and safety, promoting mission readiness, and safeguarding the environment and society from infrastructure failures.Gecko’s Deployment Leads are pivotal in bringing Cantilever, their AI-powered data platform, to customers. This role operates at the intersection of customer value, product strategy, and execution, combining aspects of product management, project management, and strategic account leadership. Deployment Leads are responsible for managing a small number of high-stakes deployments (typically 1–2 at a time). Their primary objective is to identify the most valuable problems within complex, often unfamiliar industries and ensure that Gecko effectively solves them.This is a highly dynamic and customer-facing position. Deployment Leads act as the crucial link between customers and internal teams, particularly product strategists and forward deployed engineers. They ensure that the right product is developed and successfully implemented. Key skills for this role include identifying priorities, navigating ambiguity, managing challenging stakeholder dynamics, and maintaining team alignment and progress.Ultimately, the Deployment Lead is accountable for ensuring that Cantilever delivers tangible value. They are business-savvy problem solvers who thrive in chaotic environments, ask insightful questions, challenge assumptions, and build strong trust with customers. They are relentless in their pursuit of the most impactful outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as product management, strategic account management, consulting, business development, or program delivery — ideally with a blend of these that shows you can flex across strategic thinking, customer engagement, and execution.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex deployments or initiatives across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Proven ability to identify and prioritize high-value business problems, even in industries or domains you’re new to.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate tough stakeholder conversations and align cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing fast-moving, evolving environments.
  • A structured problem solver who can break down abstract business challenges and build models or frameworks to support solutions.
  • Experience working closely with or within enterprise software organizations.
  • Willing and able to travel 50% of the time or as needed.

  • Background in engineering or experience working closely with technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner of 1–2 high-impact customer deployments, acting as the bridge between Gecko’s platform and customer business value.
  • Partner closely with Product Strategists and Forward Deployed Engineers to define what should be built, why it matters, and how to ensure it lands successfully.
  • Engage directly with customer stakeholders—at all levels—to uncover high-value problems and maintain strong relationships, even in challenging situations.
  • Drive execution and implementation of Cantilever, ensuring delivery of business outcomes—not just software.
  • Navigate ambiguous, fast-moving environments with confidence, structure, and sound judgment.
  • Build business models and use data to support strategic recommendations and validate solutions.
  • Travel as needed (25–75%) to support deployments, engage stakeholders, and remove blockers.
