Oil Filtration Operator
About The Position
Utz Quality Foods is hiring an Oil Filtration Operator to join its manufacturing team in Goodyear, Arizona. The operator runs kettle fryers and assists with the oil filtration process. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role includes preparing the assigned work area for manufacturing start-up, maintaining proper oil levels and temperatures, filtering oil and changing filter pads, and completing daily equipment shutdown and cleaning. The operator monitors equipment, reports malfunctions, assists other operators as needed, and works proactively with cross-functional teams to support production.
Requirements
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness and ability to stand for 100% of the work time.
- Knowledge of product quality and production processes.
- Ability to lift moderately, up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate kettle fryers and assist with the oil filtration process.
- Maintain proper oil levels and monitor and maintain the proper oil temperature.
- Prepare the assigned work area for manufacturing start-up.
- Perform duties necessary for daily equipment shutdown and cleaning.
- Filter oil and change filter pads.
- Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance or a supervisor.
- Assist other operators when not assigned other duties.
- Work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support the production process.
