About The Position

The Operator Oil Recycling cleans and changes out pump strainers and inline filters; samples tanks and production lines; replaces PPE drums; pumps up re-use drums; empties containment bins; and replaces dirty oil absorbent pads. The role supports refinery operations and tank farm activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, product quality, inventory control, and housekeeping. The position is based on the Tacoma, Washington team and pays $28.13 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in a labor-intensive role.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and stand for long periods.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years in a production-driven environment preferred.
Five or more years in an industrial plant preferred.
Refinery operations experience is an asset.
Forklift experience preferred.
Mechanical inclination is a plus.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Sample process streams and assist with tank farm operations.
Gauge all process tanks every hour.
Complete tank transfers to control inventory.
Obtain routine process samples to verify product quality.
Switch and change process filters.
Assist other operators.
Complete housekeeping tasks within the refinery.
Load and unload tankers and railcars.
Clean and/or change out pump strainers and inline filters.
Replace PPE drums and pump up re-use drums.
Empty containment bins and replace dirty oil absorbent pads.
