About The Position
The Oil Change Technician performs oil changes and other basic vehicle maintenance while learning automotive repair skills alongside senior technicians. The role includes paid, step-by-step training intended to support certification and career advancement. It is a full-time, day-shift position in a fast-paced automotive shop in Birmingham, Alabama.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Automotive Express Lube Technician.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Energetic, focused, reliable, and able to work well with a team.
- Successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and filter replacements.
- Perform tire rotations and top off vehicle fluids.
- Conduct digital vehicle inspections, including checks of belts, hoses, and batteries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service bay.
- Work alongside senior technicians to learn advanced mechanical skills.
