About The Position

The Oil Change Technician performs oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive shop. The role includes paid, step-by-step training intended to help the technician become certified and advance, and involves working alongside senior technicians to learn additional mechanical skills.

The position is full-time, based in Birmingham, Alabama, and works the day shift. The listed pay range is $18.00–$21.00 per hour. No travel is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an Automotive Express Lube Technician.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Energetic, focused, reliable, and willing to learn and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, replace filters, rotate tires, and top off fluids.
• Conduct digital vehicle inspections, including checking belts, hoses, and batteries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service bay.
• Work alongside senior technicians to learn advanced mechanical skills.
