Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Extensive leadership experience within mechanical or construction operations
  • Strong track record of regional or multi‑project P&L responsibility
  • Exceptional people‑leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Ability to align operational execution with long‑term business goals
  • Proven P&L responsibility on large‑scale project portfolios exceeding $30MM
  • Strong leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills
  • Experience with union labor environments
  • Ability to represent the company in professional and community settings
  • Experience managing project portfolios exceeding $15MM
  • Strong financial acumen and forecasting capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team‑development skills
  • 3+ years of project management experience (construction or related field)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm for continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall operational leadership for Ohio regional projects and teams
  • Drive financial performance, forecasting, and profitability
  • Establish and execute regional growth and business strategies
  • Develop leadership talent and succession plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
  • Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships
  • Oversee the performance of a portfolio of projects, ensuring they meet or exceed financial, operational, and safety goals
  • Lead and develop Project Managers and field leadership
  • Drive and reinforce consistent use of project management systems and best practices
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategy, staffing, and growth
  • Maintain and grow key client relationships, supporting business development and repeat work
  • Lead the execution of large and/or multiple mechanical projects from kickoff through closeout
  • Maintain full responsibility for project financials, forecasting, and margins
  • Supervise and support Project Managers
  • Drive a strong safety culture and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with VDC, fabrication shops, and procurement teams
  • Partner with regional and executive leadership on staffing and strategy
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from kickoff through closeout
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Track project financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor and guide project team members
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
