About The Position

The Offsite Production Manager reports to the Offsite Supervisor and provides leadership to all sites within the Offsite system. This role is responsible for the coordination and oversight of all activities for all Offsite farms to support and ensure individual Managers are fulfilling their positions. The position involves communicating and promoting Holden Farm’s core values and goals, providing leadership through strong communication, proactive prioritization, and effective delegation. It also requires collaboration with Sow Farm Supervisors and other Management team members to achieve company goals, understanding and upholding biosecurity programs, and performing planning, goal-setting, and scheduling for all Offsite sow farms. The role includes interviewing and assisting in finding new talent, participating in onboarding and leading new hire training, administering employee performance evaluations, and encouraging employee development. The manager will implement new ideas and changes to obtain desired results and update/maintain accurate farm records and reports.

Requirements

  • 3 year experience in management of 5 or more employees
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to have difficult conversations and achieve desired results
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to lead others in high demand situations
  • Strong interest in working with animals with a desire to learn and self-develop
  • Strong interest in team building and staff development
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and hard-working

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Management a plus
  • Bi-Lingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • No previous experience working with pigs required, training will be provided
