About The Position

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with safe working parameters of various types of cranes and rigging.
Working knowledge of DOT requirements and experience obtaining specialty permits.
Experience with initial setup of warehouses and laydown yards to support long term project success.
Experience with digital inventory management systems and ability to teach direct reports.
Ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously composed of various craft disciplines.

Responsibilities

Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
Determines workforce requirements.
Coordinates established area operational plans.
Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
Prepares Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors’ performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
