About The Position

This is a working supervisor position responsible for overseeing and supervising the Switchboard department staff for a 24/7 facility. The role involves creating monthly schedules, completing weekly time in UKG PRO, and ordering supplies for the switchboard and Segra Phone System. The supervisor will process phone system issues/complaints and requests in the SEGRA COMMPILOT computer system, utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Mail/Documents. Key responsibilities include completing and tracking data for the hospital's phone directory, tracking and logging support calls by unit, and ensuring the functionality of phone lines, fax lines, and internet, contacting vendors as needed to resolve issues. Mandatory overtime may be required. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test, background check, and are subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause. This is a tobacco-free campus.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience performing clerical work.
  • Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test.
  • Applicants selected must successfully complete a background check.
  • All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in bureau and agency policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Applicants Only: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience, which may be combined, from any of the following classifications may substitute for the required experience: Accounting Specialist, Administrative Secretary, Data Entry Operator, Human Resources Administrative Assistant, Office Associate, and Secretary.
  • Additional education may substitute for the required experience as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Mail/Documents.
  • Complete and track data for the phone directory for the hospital ensuring the data is correct.
  • Track support calls by unit and log them.
  • Ensure phone lines, fax lines and internet are working, and contact the proper vendor if issues arise with open communication to correct the problem.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required.
